Warrior

1.15.19

I had this whole devotional typed up last night about the next few verses on the Proverbs 31 woman, and what we can learn from her character and her ways; which is absolutely worthy of taking a deeper look, but after spending some much needed time with God this morning, a different message was put on my heart, and the scripture below took on a whole new meaning to me (Proverbs 31: 11-19) . As a daughter of God, you have a divine purpose and God-given dream, and it is going to require you to fight for it, to be brave, to be willing to work-hard and live with godly character. It will require sacrifice, faith, wisdom and discernment.

"The most powerful, heroic thing you can do is to be fruitful" - Lisa Bevere; Girls With Swords

God calls us each to a task, and bearing fruit for His kingdom is the most worthwhile thing we can do in this life. So let the fire within you burn brightly, find your strength and confidence in the arms of the One who is with us to be "strong and courageous!" You are a warrior and you have the God of the Universe on your side; be strong, be steadfast, be courageous, for God Himself goes behind and before you, He hems you in, and He fights on your behalf!

"The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. She seeks wool and flax and works with willing hands. She is like the ships of the merchant; she brings her food from afar. She rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household and portions for her maidens. She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard. She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong. She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp does not go out at night. She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle.(Proverbs 31: 11-19)"

Today's prayer:

Lord, make me a warrior for Your Kingdom. Let me be hard-working and steadfast. Let me be bold and courageous to go where You will lead me. Father, let my character and my ways reflect You to all those who I meet. Let me be on fire for You Lord, and remind me that if You are for me, who can be against? (Romans 8:31) Thank You Lord that You go behind me and before me, that You equip me to fight every battle I might face, and that through you I can do all things! Keep me focused and strengthen me along my way. In Jesus’ name, Amen <3
