Not Afraid
1.16.19

What does it mean to not be afraid? So often I think I translate that into there won't be any fear, but that is not the case. Fear exist, but God commands us to "not be afraid or dismayed (2 Chronicles 20:15)" not because its not scary, but because He is with us, and fights for us.
When God calls us as His sons and daughters, He also calls us into scary places sometimes; places that are outside of our comfort zones, outside of what we are capable of in our own strength; because outside of our own comfort and strength is where God's begins, and in His hands, is the safest place we could ever place our life.
God is so much bigger, stronger, and more capable than our fears; and in Him, we no longer have to live afraid. Yes and Amen!
"She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of snow for her household, for all her household are clothed in scarlet." (Proverbs 31:20-21)"
Today's prayer:
Lord, let my fears fall at Your feet today. In You, I am bold and courageous to stand up for that which You have called me to be a voice for and to fight for justice on the behalf of those who cannot fight for themselves. Lord, you equip me to face every fear; let me use the armor You have given, let me be rooted deeply in Your truth, let Your word and Your law be my firm foundation, so that in the face of fear, I can stand upon the rock of Truth and fight! Let me be a woman who fears You alone Lord so that I may go wherever You lead. In Jesus’ name, Amen <3
