Noble

synonyms: righteous, virtuous, good, honorable, honest, upright, upstanding, decent, worthy, uncorrupted, moral, ethical, unselfish, generous, self-sacrificing, brave

This morning I read a verse in Isaiah (my favorite book of the Bible) that said "But he who is noble plans noble things, and on noble things he stands (Isaiah 32:6)" 

The rest of Isaiah 32 goes on to talk about how the effects of righteousness are peace and quiet trust forever.

I want to stand on the things that are noble and live in a manner worthy of thankfulness to Christ for clothing me in His righteousness. I want my life to be a reflection of His selflessness, kindness, and love to all whom I meet, that I may live in the quietness of His trust forever. Amen!

"She makes bed coverings for herself; her clothing is fine linen and purple. Her husband is known in the gates when he sits among the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them; she delivers sashes to the merchant. Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness (Proverbs 31:22-27)"

Today's prayer:

Lord, help me represent Your righteousness today. Thank you that You died for me, so that I might live through You, and bring glory to Your name. Jesus, You alone are my righteousness and my peace. Let my life be lived in thankfulness and praise to You Lord, clothe me in Your strength and dignity, that I may bring glory to Your name in all that I do, to all whom I meet.
