Even though...

Yesterday was a DAY. Y'all feel me on that? You ever just have a day, or days, or even an entire season of life that just feels defeating and impossible? I know I have. But this morning I was reminded of two very important things: 

1. Today is a new day and it is "the day that the Lord has made, let 

us rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24)" We get a brand newday! How cool it that? God is so good and His mercies are "new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23)" This day is a gift, God has given it to us to begin anew, to rejoice and be glad in it! To seek Him, serve Him, and love Him. So let's take this day and use it for His glory! 

2. Even when I have bad days, or hard seasons; the Lord is still my Shepherd. He doesn't just stop being my shepherd just because life gets hard or I mess up, no! "Even though I walk through the valley of  the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4)" Even though... 

I am anxious

I feel defeated

I mess up

I feel crushed

Even though I "walk through the valley of the shadow of death" wow wow wow

Even there, He is with us. And He will always be with us, from the lowest of lows, to the highest of mountain tops, He is unchanging, though all else may change. He is the Good Shepherd, and the Good Shepherd lays down His life for His sheep, He goes with them always. I am so glad of that, aren't you? 

Today's Prayer:

Lord, thank you that You are the Good Shepherd of my soul, that You go before me and beside me, and that with You "there is no shadow or variation due to change (James 1:17)"  You comfort me in my weakest places and your mercies are new each morning that I may begin again, and live in the day that You have made for me with joy and gladness! God, how great You are! Thank you for newness, for protection, and for Your never-ending mercy and grace. I love you Lord and I thank You for this day, which You have made for me. In Jesus' name, Amen <3
