Another Story to Tell

The other night my 8-year-old little sister quickly and sweetly reminded me of how big our God is and how nothing is beyond His reach.
She got scratched by our cat on the hand, so I was helping to doctor her up. As I placed the band-aid over her scratch I said:
“It will get better, don’t worry”
To which she replied: “It’s okay, I like scars, it’s just a new story I get to tell” 🎤💥😩
Y’all, if only we could all have such childlike faith 👏🏼
I don’t know what your year has looked like, maybe it has been full of disappointments, or fear, or loss, or heartbreak; but can I tell you that in the hands of our Almighty God, IT IS ANOTHER STORY TO TELL!?!
Each and every scar we acquire along the way in this life is a opportunity for the grace of God to step-in and re-write the narrative for our good and for His glory!!
It is the opportunity for us to bring those wounds to the feet of Jesus and say, “God, this hurts, but I trust You and I know You are going to use it as part of Your story in my life” 💛
God wants to turn our scars into stories and miracles for His glory! He longs to write the story of His redemption on our lives! Today, I am thankful for the scars, because it is those very scars in my life, that has allowed me to more fully share the love of Jesus with those around me.
“So I'm thankful for the scars,
‘cause without them I wouldn't know Your heart
and I know they'll always tell of who You are,
so forever I am thankful for the scars”
- I Am They
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
